Just a quick note to say what a lovely weekend we had in East Cottage. We were very lucky with the weather, and left just as it started raining!
The location is wonderful and the cottage had everything we needed. The kids were in their element exploring the woods and made some very elaborate plans about camps and look-outs for the next time we come and stay.
Thanks for letting us stay longer on the Sunday, it made leaving much less chaotic and we went up to the Hidden Valley in the morning in the knowledge we would be able to go back and get warm and changed before our flight.
We'd love to come back in the summer.

Hi Victoria, where did this year go to? Once again Billy, Harry, and a new face William ( half our age but the start of a new line of climbers being introduced to signal rock ) and myself had the best holiday ever this year!! How you managed to get the sun to shine for us at the end of April was beyond belief.! The new staff are great and Tunde does her best to adjust to the Irish sense of humor. As you know we treat signal rock as a second home as we have always been made very welcome, with this in mind we think of you at this time of the year and extend our heart felt thanks to you and your family at Christmas and New Year. The enjoyment of climbing in Glencoe is matched only by the hospitality shown to us by Tunde&Csaba please pass on seasons greetings to them and we hope to stay again at end of April if fitness improves. Thanks again, lovely to get a card from you .David.

This, this place, is magical. From the moment we arrived, we kept saying how beautiful it is, how warm the cottage was (we stayed at West Cottage), how incredible the scenery, how extremely kind and generous the owners. West cottage was perfect for our family. It sleeps 8, we have 3 but we had plenty of luggage so all was fine. Everything was very clean and warm. Speaking of warm, Glencoe cottages has won awards for their green efforts, including underfloor heating. The kitchen is well-stocked with great dishes and pans. There is a laundry room across the way (not many steps) with a wonderful drying room (very fast!). The internet was extremely fast, and the living room seating was comfy and cozy. There is the River Tay right out the back door (yes, you can go explore there) and you are surrounded by amazing mountains. The sounds of the river rushing over the rocks, and the views, are stunning. There is the Harry Potter connection, which is right up the driveway - the film location of Hagrid's Hut! This was most interesting to our daughter, who imagined herself hiding behind a pumpkin, way up on the hill. Most of all, though, we loved talking with owner Victoria Sutherland - she's so kind and gracious, and passionate about green efforts. She was so interesting to talk with that we were distracted for hours. It is her story, and genuine interest, that made this place stand out. This place also has a fantastic back patio, with picnic table and GRILL!! Although we were there for too short a time, we'll be back, with picnic plans in hand. It's in a great location, one where you can easily explore parts of Scotland or mountain climb to your heart's delight. The cottage was mostly handicap accessible - there is a small step into the cottage, but everything inside is one level. You do have to step into the bathtub, but that was easy for me. We'll be back. This was a magical place, one we were loathe to leave. We highly recommend it for anyone - family, a group of friends (skiing? hill walking?), a romantic escape, and more. It was perfect for our family, and a highlight of our trip.

We had a wonderful stay in GIencoe and will definitely be back! I was actually going to email you anyway. Having travelled extensively and stayed in all sorts of places 1 have to comment On the gorgeous smelling linen on your beds - what a delicious treat to get into each night! Your “green” is perfect!
Just a quick note to say thanks for all the advice during our stay recently (I am the guy you took on a tour up the river). We had a wonderful trip and found both the cottage and the setting just perfect. Unfortunately we forgot to sign the visitor’s book but you may assume glowing praise... I never did get to go fishing again, sadly, but I am well and truly ‘hooked’ on Glen Coe and I am sure we will be back again. Perhaps next time I will catch a nice brown trout instead of just little babies!
We did take your advice and visit the Loch Leven seafood restaurant and I must say that we were very impressed so thank you very much for the tip. Hope to see you again in the future - please also pass these thanks on to Victoria. Cheers!
Just a quick thank you for the high standard of the accomodation, a great base for three full days walking, but over all too soon - The group are already asking when the next trip is! Thanks again
I would just like to say a quick thank you for letting us use your fantastic cottages this weekend, we were all in agreement that they were of a very high standard and more than adequate for our needs. Should anyone I know need somewhere to stay in Scotland I would not hesitate in recommending your cottages and if we come back for the skiing next year we will definitely be giving you a ring. Kind regards
