Cottage Inventory

South Cottage has 3 bedrooms each with 2 single beds, a wardrobe, a chair and a shelf with a large mirror. There are ample electric plugs in each room. Each bed has a bedside light and there is a bedside table. The bedrooms all have slatted blinds.

Each bed is made up ready for your arrival with a sheet a feather duvet with a duvet cover and 2 pillows each with a pillow cover.

If you wish any 2 beds to be made up as a double please send me an email so we can do this for you before you arrive.

Please remind everyone in your group to bring bath towels. This is the only item of linen that we do not provide.

In each cottage there is a sitting/dining room with kitchen area. The dining area has a table and seating for 6 people. There are 2 sofas, each for 2 people, 2 armchairs and a coffee table. There is a bookcase with information about the area and local wildlife and leaflets on what to see in the area as well as a selection of novels.

There is a TV with DVD player and a radio with CD player. There is free Wi-fi and Internet available in the cottage.

There are sliding doors onto a patio overlooking the river. Outside is a BBQ with some BBQ tools and a garden table as well as 2 garden benches. We have a pot on the patio with herbs for your cooking.

The bathroom consists of bath and shower over the bath with a glass folding shower screen, WC and hand basin, hot towel rail and an extractor fan.

In the kitchen you will find:

fridge with a small freezer - 4 ring electric hob - electric oven with grill - extractor fan - microwave oven - 4 slice toaster - dishwasher - electric whisk - electric hand held blender - filter coffee making machine with filter papers  - electric kettle

For large groups we have: 2 very large cooking pans, and several other pots - a large frying pan with lid - large teapot plus 2 other teapots

We also supply: ample cutlery and crockery - serving dishes  - a variety of glasses - garlic press - bottle openers - potato peelers - wooden spoons - spatulas - a good selection of sharp knives - scales, - rolling pin - 3 chopping boards - bread bin and bread board

There is also a compost bin - dust bin -  recycling bins - washing-up bowl - drying rack for plates

The cottage is also equipped with a supply of cleaning materials

Kitchen: washing-up liquid - dishwasher tablets - dish towels - pan scourer - cloth and washing-up brush - bin bags - kitchen roll

Bathroom: bath and toilet cleaner - cloth - toilet paper - soap - hand towel - 6 tooth mugs

In the service building you will find the washing machine and a sink which is for the use of our guests. In this building there is also a drying room with a dehumidifier and a hot floor

We do not supply washing powder for the washing machine. If you bring this with you please ensure that you buy non-biological washing powder. Our septic tank cannot cope with biological washing powder.

All the buildings have under floor heating. The hot water, and water that runs through the hot water pipes  under the floor are heated by a central boiler using local wood chips for fuel.

We have a lock-up for bikes and ample parking space right by your cottage. There is an outdoor electricity supply for the charging of electric cars.
